I am also in the midst of reading Rebuilt written by Michael Chorost. This is a story of one man’s journey in life with the cochlear implant. Today is the day I get the stitches taken out. The vertigo is completely gone and all that remains is a slight numbness and lump which I am sure will be unnoticeable once my hair grows out. It will surely be nice to get out of the house for once.
