“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
-Mark 11:22-25
Despite all the nonsense that goes on around us in this world, I have faith and truly believe that things are done for a purpose and reason. We may not understand them but we do have to trust that the Lord has our best interests in mind.
Last night, I joined a bunch of running friends from Checkers AC for a couple of laps around Delaware Park. Then we head over to one of their house for a post-run gathering. Good friends, good drink, good food and snacks were enjoyed by all. Thank you Nancy, Marc, and Joelle for opening your house and hearts to us!
I approached one very dear friend…and many of you know who he is. He has been undergoing the dreaded “c” word maintenance mainly because certain numbers and indicators have been elevating. He couldn’t do this past Saturday’s Shamrock Run due to a reaction to the medication. He is the topic of a previous post, “Quitting is not an option”. And you’ll also find him sprinkled throughout this blog.
Brother, if you are reading this…what you have encountered is the mountain. Pray as I have and many others. And for those of you who believe in the power of prayer, please include him in yours. The “c” word is the sin in this verse. You are not in this alone. Have faith, man….HAVE FAITH!
