A little more than 24 hours to go before activation! I wish I could go back to sleep and then wake up tomorrow morning instead. Last night’s game/party at Mike’s house was great. Great company, good food, awesome house, lousy heat all made for a grand time! Actually, if you think any 80 year old house can keep out 6 degree (-15 with wind chill) weather, you think wrong! And I came ever so close to predicting the final score of 29-17 (prediction was 21-17-Colts).
I also saw that Mr. Ed’s 5K did go off yesterday but the times were like 2 to 4 minutes slower than previous years. Must have been the weather! I did use Gold’s Gym for the first time and boy, did I see old friends from the Village Glen plus a few who also came over from World Gym. I also heard the instructors at World Gym got the heave-ho just like that…no thank you, no nothing. Did two 15 minute gradual paces but a hill climb. I am probably about 2 weeks away from getting back to running competitively.
That’s it for today. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be reporting in the evenings so keep coming back for more of the juicy tidbits and the continuing saga of my journeys, trials and tribulations with the cochlear implant…
Hi Sam ~
I know today is your “big” day … wishing you the best! My thoughts will be with you today, and Steph, and of course your boys, and can’t forget Vamooooose!!!!!
Sam,
Thank you for inviting us along on your journey to better hearing. I’m looking forward to reading about your progress with your implant and appreciate the help that this will give me in adjusting to my implant when mine gets activated. Best wishes to you.
