Its now 4:00 in the morning and I am getting a head start on my day. Lots of last minute things to do at work but I absolutely have to start my day off at the gym since I’ll be out of commission for a week. Thank goodness the gym is open 24 hours! And I am looking forward to that spanking brand new…..buzz cut tonight! Be sure to check back as I will have pictures of that, here.
First, something “runningy” to write about. There is a very interesting article in the New York Times about continuing exercise while injured. I believe it is true as I had a couple of serious injuries last year but my doctor told me to keep running.
Anyway, I want to take this time and topic to thank all of my well wishers – my friends (and the upcoming dead rabbits) at Checkers (Uncle Herman and Aunt Gregarious-thanks for putting the link there), my friends at work, Steph’s friends at her work, friends and family around the world, and especially my dear mother (who I know will be crying after reading this), my wonderful sister on the other side of the world, my two awesome sons Dan and Mike, and true sidekick, ears and love of life, Steph.
I know this is only the beginning and there is a long road ahead; no guarantees, no promises, lots of hard work, ups and downs, frustrations, triumphs, etc. Also, lots of philosophical BS such as “you have to walk before you crawl”, “put the horse before the cart” to name a couple. But, I truly believe the end result will be a lifetime dream coming to fruition.
Hopefully, I will get in one more “T -” entry tomorrow but I do want to let you know that I plan to continue Welcome to Sam Spritzer’s Web Site and share with you the roads traveled as I celebrate my New Ears in addition to my passion for running.
Thank you and with much love to all,
Sam
