‘What da fugg?”

Those were my first words when I woke up from a 4 hour surgery. No complications at all other than the fact the anesthesiologist had the shove the breathing tube up my nose rather than down my throat. I am still picking dry blooded snot out of my nose since I can’t blow it for fear of tearing the stitches. My throat was too small and too forward for the tube. So other than the usual grogginess, I had a blood nose.

Right now, its 4:45 in the morning as I had slept through most of yesterday except to have Steph’s famous chicken soup and go to the bathroom. I am a little dizzy and have a sense of imbalance but that is to be expected. I am walking like a drunk and glasses are on crooked since the whole right side of my head is bandaged. I am also experiencing ringing in the right ear especially when I move around or shake my head. I guess its the tube bouncing around in my cochlear and the brain is still trying figure out if its a piece of spaghetti or what.

The bandage will come off today and I’ll be on antibiotics for the rest of the week. Oh and here is the best part….for pain killers, its Tylenol WITH CODEINE…wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! And the worse part….I can’t exercise or run for 3 weeks. That means my 2007 running debut will have to pushed off a couple of weeks.

Where are the pictures? Hopefully, by tomorrow. I am just too “out of it” to bother with downloading and uploading them.

Glad to hear to survived. Don’t you worry about shutting it down for another 3 weeks, I’ll spin for you.
