Two days later

I am actually back to work…from home. Here is the beautiful cosmetic surgery job Dr. Ernesto Diaz-Ordaz did on me. No pain, no vertigo! And come to think of it, right after my surgery he did a bi-lateral on a 7 year old. The man is truly a genius and has my vote for best CI surgeon in the world!

I actually feel good today. The pain is rather negligible and not enough to warrant even an aspirin. I am able to turn my head at the reaction of something instantaneously with the feeling of the world spinning around me. I even washed my hair (or whatever is left of it) this morning. Now if only this healing process would speed up so I can get activated and of course, I am looking forward to my next race…the Penguin Run on 1/27/2008!

They glued you back together real nice! And that’s great that you’re having such an easy go the second time around. I take it they didn’t shove a breathing tube up your nose this time πŸ™‚

Are you SURE that don’t hurt? Because it hurts me to look at it….OUCH!
I actually think that the way my surgeon does it probably hurts more, because they make a teeeeeeeeeny incision, but then they stretch your entire head trying to finagle the implant in. I kid you not…I could hardly turn my head after mine!
    I’m SO glad you’re feeling good…although I think you’re a crazy man to attempt a race so soon! Hey…if you’re up to it…go for it! πŸ™‚

Ahh, I remember that look. I got that hack job too! I agree with you Jen, I rather have the hack job then my entire head being stretched in ways that I rather not think about πŸ™‚

I am so glad to see that you are just FLYING right through this recovery mode. I see that little piece of bone did the trick!
