Perseverance

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, perseverance is defined as….continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an instance of persevering : steadfastness

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. -James 5:11

Perseverance is a tough attribute, isn’t it?  For the better part of the last two years, I persevered to find the right opportunity.  I endured many trials and tribulations, anxious moments and stress levels that almost makes Job’s look easy.

But through the grace of the Lord, and yes…you truly have to believe, I landed the dream opportunity.  I’ll be working right down the street from home doing what I love doing best…report development.  I’ll be working for a very fine organization, AAA of Western and Central NY.  This is one opportunity and organization that has been at the top of my list for a long time.  And now, I am truly honored to become a part of it.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said it best –

Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody.

Two years of knocking…no, make that banging.  It was worth it….
